Publication Ethics
The Nusantara Education Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and adheres to the ethical guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal expects all parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to observe the following ethical responsibilities:
Duties of Authors
-
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and properly cited. Manuscripts must not exceed a similarity index of 25%.
-
Multiple Submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is unethical and unacceptable.
-
Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Others who have participated in certain aspects should be acknowledged.
-
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research.
-
Data Accuracy: Authors should present accurate data and be prepared to provide raw data if requested during the review process.
Duties of Editors
-
Fair Evaluation: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely based on academic merit without discrimination.
-
Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or publisher.
-
Conflict of Interest: Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where there is a conflict of interest.
Duties of Reviewers
-
Confidentiality: All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
-
Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively and observations should be clearly formulated with supporting arguments.
-
Promptness: Reviewers should notify the editor if they are unable to complete the review in a timely manner.
-
Disclosure of Conflicts: Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
By committing to these ethical practices, the Nusantara Education Journal ensures a transparent, fair, and high-quality publication process.
