Publishing Process
The Nusantara Education Journal follows a structured and transparent publishing process to ensure the timely and high-quality publication of scholarly works. The process is designed to guide authors from submission to final publication while maintaining academic integrity and editorial excellence.
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions must follow the journal’s formatting and ethical guidelines.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team reviews the manuscript for:
-
Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
-
Compliance with formatting and style guidelines
-
Plagiarism check (maximum similarity allowed is 25%)
Manuscripts that meet these criteria proceed to peer review; others are returned to authors for revision or rejection.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts undergo a double-blind review by at least two independent experts. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field.
4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:
-
Accept without revision
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
-
Reject
Authors are notified of the decision along with reviewers' comments.
5. Revision and Resubmission
Authors revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ feedback and resubmit it within the specified time. Revised submissions may undergo further review if necessary.
6. Final Acceptance and Proofreading
Once the manuscript is accepted, it goes through final proofreading and formatting for publication. Authors will be asked to review the final proofs for accuracy.
7. Payment of Publication Fee
Upon acceptance, authors are required to pay a publication fee of $10 USD or Rp.150,000 to support the journal’s operational costs.
8. Publication
The final version of the article is published in the upcoming issue (April or October) and made available online under an open-access license (CC BY 4.0).
9. Indexing and Archiving
Published articles are indexed and archived in international repositories and databases, and preserved via the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to ensure long-term access.
