Indonesia is a multicultural nation with extreme diversity that harbors vulnerability to social conflict. Economic inequality and identity polarization in the digital era are primary triggers for intergroup tensions. This research aims to analyze the root causes of conflict, examine resolution dynamics, and formulate constructive strategies that integrate local wisdom with national law. The method employed is a qualitative literature study with systematic thematic analysis through data reduction, category display, and conclusion drawing. Research results indicate that social conflict in Indonesia is multidimensional and amplified by the echo chamber mechanisms on social media, which deepen fragmentation. Formal legal approaches are often considered less effective in restoring social relations at grassroots levels due to their repressive nature. Conversely, the use of local wisdom, such as the "Mbolo Weki" practice, is proven capable of building deep reconciliation through restorative justice principles. The study’s main conclusion emphasizes that managing a multicultural society requires a shift toward transformative conflict resolution. Synergy between local wisdom, national legal frameworks, and early warning systems is key to transforming disintegration potential into sustainable social cohesion to achieve national harmony.
